“THE AUTHOR OF SICKNESS AND DISEASE”

 BY C.W. WOOD                                                                                                                                                  NOV., 2015

A PERSONAL NOTE TO OUR READERS: This Sermon is about Revelation that is hidden in Plain Sight in the Scriptures!  Up in Heaven before there was a world, God made “The Law of Faith.”  God Preached and Lucifer Preached.  The Law of Faith was to see who would believe the Creator and stay with Him.  That Law is still in effect.  We chose to stay with Him in Heaven, and then He chose to save us here on earth from the snares of the devil.  Sickness is a snare and God is not the Author of it.

God Bless our Faithful Readers for all your Support.  We love you and expect to See You Soon.  Press the battle, give the enemy no quarter, the Resurrection is at hand.

What do we mean by the word “Author”?  It means the originator of a thing!  It means the one that Something Proceeded from.  It means the one who brought the thing into existence!  The Author of a thing is the one who started the idea.  Our lesson is about the one who brings or starts sickness and disease!

First, we need to understand that sickness is a Supernatural Disruption of the way our God made the body to work in order for us to be healthy.  And that it is His will and desire that we be in health!  3rd. JOHN, verse 2

“Beloved, I wish above all things that thou mayest prosper and be in health, even as thy soul prospereth.”  And we can be healthy and prosperous after the Revelation of God’s will has entered the mind, saturated the Spirit and gone down into the Soul.

There is always a great need to keep our balance in God’s Word.  We know it never contradicts itself, though to our natural mind it seems to at times.  There is a balance that we need concerning the subject we are teaching on today.

We know the Bible teaches that God’s children will have some suffering to go through.  Psalms 34:19, “Many are the afflictions of the righteous: but the Lord delivereth him out of them all.”  (Devil puts them on us, God takes them off)

Our study is to discover who is the Author of  sickness and disease.  As long as we believe that The Lord puts sickness on us, We won’t be able to resist it with absolute faith!  We will wonder how long the Lord wants us to be sick, and how long it will be before He wants us to be well again.  As long  as  we  think  that

God puts sickness on us to teach us something, we will always wonder when it will leave.

Now, here starts a life saving Revelation!  God does never put sickness on us.  (Now hold that in your mind while I add something to it!)  When we do get sick, God will use it to teach us and that is because ROM. 8:28 says, “And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose.”  The fact that He will use it does not at all mean that He is the Author of it!  He uses “All Things” for our Good.  He created the devil, knowing what he would do, because He planned to use him for God’s own Glory.

Now, let’s look at some Word and see what it says about the Author of sickness.  ACTS 10:38, “How God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Ghost and with power: who went about doing good, and healing all that were oppressed of  the  devil; for God was with him.”  Notice!!! He wasn’t going about putting sickness on People, He went about taking it off of the People.  Can we understand, the devil was come to Steal, to Kill and to Destroy, but Jesus went around Healing all that the devil was oppressing with some kind of sickness.  Question: How in the world did we get it turned around backwards???  Look at The Lords Prayer, MATT. 6:9-13, “After this manner pray ye: Our Father which art in heaven, Hallowed be thy name---Lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from Evil---“  Sickness is evil, it causes death and some who are killed by it are lost!

In LUKE 9:52-54, The disciples wanted to call fire down on some people that didn’t receive all the teaching of Jesus.  He replied, (verses 55-56) “Ye know not what manner of spirit ye are of---for the Son of man is not come to destroy men’s lives, but to save them.---“        JER. 29:11,

“For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the Lord, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end.”

DEUT. 30:19, “I call heaven and earth to record this day against you that I have set before you life and death, blessing and cursing: therefore choose life, that both thou and thy seed may live.”

In DEUT. 28, where it says The Lord will smite thee with curses, these Scriptures have to be made to fit together with all the rest of the Word.  Example: GEN. 4:1, “And Adam knew Eve his wife; and she conceivd, and bare Cain, and said, I have gotten a man from the Lord.”  But that Scripture has to be made to agree with  1st. JOHN 3:12, “Not as Cain, who was of that wicked one and slew his brother---.”  We open ourselves up to the Evil one when we come out from behind the Fort (walls) of God’s Word.  When we do that God is   allowing the devil to attack us, but He is never the Author of the Attacks!  All the while He is wooing us back to the Word of obedience.  We repent and escape the snares of the Evil one.

JAMES 4:7, “Submit yourselves therefore to God.  Resist the devil and he will flee from you”  Let’s read this verse now   for exactly what it says.  First, let’s notice that that it does not say Resist God!!!  If God was putting the disease on us, then we would have to Resist Him in order to get it off.  But it says submit yourselves to The Lord, because “He wishes above all things that we would be Prosperous and Healthy.

Who can make war against The Lord and win???  “If God be for us, who can be against us?”  ROM. 8:31.

Remember JOHN 10:10, “The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly.”

Also, ACTS 10:38, “How

God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Ghost and with power: who went about doing good, and healing all that were oppressed of the devil; for God was with him.”

He was not putting diseases on the People, but He was taking them off the People!  Why?  How?  Because God Was with Him and He came to do the will of His Father!

There is a teaching in the churches, (or I will say this wrong teaching is in far too many of our churches)---that says we can Glorify God more by remaining sick and being patient than by being healed.  We are told to be patient during our trials, but we are never told to be patient with the devil.  We are told to resist him in all that he does against us.

If God receives more Glory by us remaining sick, then The Lord Jesus did not hesitate to rob God of all the Glory He could----He healed all that came to Him for help!

MATT.12:15,  “---and great multitudes followed him, and he healed them all”

MATT. 14:36, “---As many as touched were made perfectly whole.”

LUKE 6:19, “And the whole multitude sought to touch him:---for there went virtue out of him, and  healed them all.”

MATT. 8:16, “When the even  was come, they brought unto him many that were possessed with devils: and he cast out the spirits with his word, and healed all that were sick.”  Luke 4:40, “Now when the sun was setting, all they that had any sick with divers diseases brought them unto him; and he laid his hands on everyone of them and healed them.”

Now, if God is more Glorified by us staying sick than by being healed, we will have to say that Jesus spent a lot of time and effort robbing God of Glory!  And so did the disciples, and so did the Apostle Paul, and so did Br. Branham and  so is the Bride still robbing God of Glory!

Healing is the Children’s Bread, it’s our Regular diet---but  some  teach that Sickness is the Children’s Bread and we must not resist it because God is putting it on us!
